Review New Lush Hair Care Range Fair Trade Honey Happy Happy Joy Joy Shampoo Conditioner

Fair Trade Honey

Fair Trade Honey is a bottle full of flowers, the base is over 50% fair trade honey and 20% linseed mucilage to moisturise and add shine to your hair. It is preservative free and lathers only a little, washing your hair without stripping natural oils. Hard water contains calcium which can build up and damage your hair, this softens and cleanses giving a nice balance. The honey makes this a very good moisturizing shampoo. £7/ €8.95 for 110g.
I've used this a few times so far and I have to say I'm surprised that I quite like it. It leaves my hair looking healthier and doesn't leave it brittle after washing. I usually have to wash & style my hair the day before I go somewhere, but with this I can do it that day without it going frizzy. It acts a little like a conditioner as well as a shampoo, making my hair soft and silky. It also cuts the drying time of my hair, bonus! My split ends appear reduced too because the ingredients help to close your cuticles. Your cuticles closing means your hair will appear to have less flyways and split ends.

What I don't like about this is the smell, it's very sweet and a little overpowering at times. The other thing I don't like is that it doesn't lather. I prefer when shampoos lather, although it's better for your hair that they don't. I just feel like my hair is cleaner when it lathers, anyone else like that? I used a lot of product the first time (as you can see from the bottle above) because I worked in small areas around my head but I realised after the second wash that you don't need too much product. I've started using this every other time I wash my hair and using other shampoo and Aussie conditioner the other half of the time.

Happy Happy Joy Joy

Happy Happy Joy Joy contains almond milk to moisturise and strengthen hair, jojoba oil to add shine while grapefruit and lime oils refresh your hair. The fragrance is based around neroil and grapefruit. £9/ €11.75 for 100g & £18/ €23.50 for 250g.

Don't have much to say about this other than its a nice conditioner. I really like the smell of this, it smells really fresh and leaves my hair soft. This is lovely and moisturising for my recently dyed hair. I have noticed a difference in my hair the last couple of weeks and I seem to be getting more compliments on it so there must be something working. I've also started curling my hair more so I'm using extra heat and I haven't noticed much extra damage. The photos below were taken since I started using the products. The two on the left are the most recent, you can see how straight my hair is which is insane to me. It's usually very frizzy after blowdrying and straightening.

Lush Product Review Hair Treatment Shampoo Conditioner Blogger

They are quite expensive for the size but I do like them, I have noticed a difference in the health of my hair. I only use them 2/3 times a month so it's not too bad, I would definitely repurchase the shampoo but I think I'll stick to my Aussie conditioner, purely because it's cheaper and I love the smell.
